This would be the more informal, business function-appropriate version of the little black dress. Jeans

This could be considered a no-brainer, but those who prefer dresses, skirts and more sophisticated or business-like attire may not be inclined to include jeans in the typical mix. Dark, classic washes with fitted legs tend to be more versatile than some other styles and colors, but it couldn’t hurt to have a pair in several different shades in case of emergency.

Black Leggings

Leggings could be considered one of the most versatile wardrobe additions on the market. They’re neutral in so many ways. Leggings aren’t overly flashy or shamefully casual. Again, black ones match everything. They can provide a little extra coverage for particularly cold or windy days when worn under a dress or skirt. Somehow, they manage to take casual dresses up a notch and can even transform long sweaters into mini dresses.
